The H-4WH22G7X directional spool valve belongs to the WEH Directional Spool Valves series and is produced by Bosch Rexroth. It is intended to route pressurized oil to actuators in automated hydraulic circuits where precise control and rapid response are required. The valve follows the ISO 4401 porting layout in a nominal size NG25, ensuring interchangeability with standard subplates. When supplied with external pilot oil through port X, the unit needs a minimum pilot pressure of 12.5 bar to shift its three-position spring-centered spool, while the allowable pilot pressure reaches 210 bar. Returning pilot oil externally through port Y keeps control pressure independent of tank back-pressure. A pilot flow of 35 l/min achieves the shortest switching times, and the related pilot chamber volume is 7.64 cm³. Main flow capacity is 400 l/min at 70 bar, and working ports A and B tolerate operating pressures up to 350 bar.

The same valve maintains hydraulic cleanliness requirements of ISO 4406 code 20/18/15 to protect internal clearances. Meeting this cleanliness grade supports spool longevity and minimizes leakage wear in continuous duty systems. Continuous service is permitted with fluid temperatures up to 80 °C, supporting mineral oil applications in heated machines. Tank port T can withstand 250 bar, while the external drain port Y is limited to 210 bar to safeguard seals. Functional integrity over time is reflected by a mean time to dangerous failure of 150 years, which supports safety assessments in plant design. External surfaces accept a coating thickness up to 100 µm, allowing corrosion protection without impairing mounting fits. The permitted coating layer also prevents rust in offshore or damp factory environments. These limits, together with the flow and size characteristics given earlier, define reliable performance for high-duty directional control tasks.
