External pilot lines feed the control stage so oil enters at port X and leaves at port Y, isolating pilot flow from the main circuit and keeping the valve housing free from additional drilling. The pilot supply can reach 250 bar, and the return path tolerates up to 160 bar, letting the valve operate with elevated back-pressure on the tank line. When a two-position spring-centered spool is used, pilot pressure must reach 10 bar to achieve reliable shifting. An ISO 4401 porting pattern allows interchange with other NG32 hardware, and cleanliness to ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 is required to protect the spool lands and maintain consistent switching behavior.
