It directs hydraulic flow to actuators in automated machinery. The nominal size is NG25, enabling the body to accommodate a maximum flow of 700 l/min without undue pressure loss. Main ports p, A, and B withstand operating pressures up to 350 bar. Incoming fluid must meet ISO 4406 (c) 20/18/15 cleanliness to prevent wear. Installation follows the ISO 4401 mounting pattern, secured by four M12 x 60 fasteners defined in ISO 4762; each screw is tightened to 100 Nm to maintain a leak-free joint. FKM seals are fitted to handle common hydraulic oils and elevated temperature ranges.
The pilot circuit draws supply internally from port P and returns externally through port Y. It tolerates pressures up to 250 bar, while the tank port t also allows 250 bar back-pressure. Spool shifting begins once internal pilot pressure reaches the 8 bar minimum. A D3 pressure-reducing stage limits pilot pressure to 45 bar for consistent actuation when system pressure rises. Flow into the pilot valve passes through a B10 throttle insert at port P to dampen surges. These features stabilize operation under variable loads, providing dependable directional control in hydraulic automation.
