It routes hydraulic flow between pressure and work ports in automated motion circuits where electro-hydraulic shifting is preferred. The NG25 size establishes passage dimensions suitable for medium-flow machines, while the 4-way spool pattern provides separate paths for pressure, two actuator lines, and tank. Electro-hydraulic actuation lets an internal pilot stage shift the main spool in response to a 24 V DC solenoid signal, so electronic controllers can issue commands. The valve centers to neutral by a spring and offers three positions to allow extend, retract, and block functions. Pilot oil discharges externally through port Y, preventing back pressure from affecting spool movement, and a concealed manual override labeled N9 permits local actuation during commissioning or power loss. Total pilot volume for the three-position element is 14.2 cm³, which influences response time and energy consumption. These limits and features secure dependable motion control in presses, molding machines, and other automated equipment.
