The H-4WEH16J7X/6EG24N9TK4/V directional spool valve is part of the WEH Directional Spool Valves series produced by Bosch Rexroth. It directs hydraulic flow in automation circuits that require fast changeover between actuator functions. The unit has a nominal size of 16, allowing it to be fitted into NG16 manifolds and piping. Four valve ways route pressure and return lines to connected cylinders, and three spool positions provide center and end states for bidirectional motion. The J-type spool geometry supports a maximum flow of 300 l/min so cylinders can move at high speed without cavitation. Hydraulic channels can be pressurized up to 350 bar on ports P, A, and B, letting the valve operate in high-pressure systems. Electrical actuation relies on a 24 V DC coil linked through a DIN EN 175301-803 K4 connector, which simplifies wiring in modular control panels. With two solenoids installed the assembly weighs 8.9 kg, remaining manageable for maintenance staff.

In service the valve receives pilot oil externally through port X, while spent pilot oil is returned internally to the T gallery; this arrangement reduces external piping and keeps the main body compact. The pilot stage may be loaded up to 250 bar, and the spring-centered mechanism shifts reliably once a minimum pilot pressure of 14 bar is supplied. Port T itself tolerates pressures as high as 250 bar, permitting back-pressure without risking seal damage. All dynamic seals are manufactured from FKM, ensuring compatibility with mineral oils at elevated temperatures. System cleanliness must meet ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to avoid spool sticking and premature wear. These parameters combine with the previously mentioned flow capacity and spool layout to give precise, repeatable directional control in industrial hydraulic automation.
