The H-4WEH16E7X/6EG24N9EK4/B10D3Z directional spool valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the WEH Directional Spool Valves series and is intended to switch flow paths in hydraulic automation circuits. It handles fluids with viscosities from 2.8 to 500 mm²/s and withstands operating pressures up to 350 bar at ports P, A, and B. A maximum flow of 300 l/min is available in the NG16 three-position spring-centered version, providing sufficient volume for large actuators. Pilot control must reach at least 14 bar and may rise to 250 bar, while the pilot return line can carry 210 bar without affecting function. The unit operates correctly with fluid temperatures between −20 °C and 80 °C and in ambient conditions from −20 °C to 50 °C.
Contamination must remain no worse than ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to avoid spool scoring. The pilot chamber volume is 5.72 cm³, damping spool shifts and limiting pressure shocks. A built-in pressure reducing valve is preset to 45 bar to steady the pilot supply, and a 1.0 mm throttle insert at location b10 can further tune response. The porting pattern follows ISO 4401-07-07-0-05 for manifold compatibility, and M10 mounting screws require 58 Nm ±10 % of torque. Tank port t may see up to 250 bar, allowing shared high-pressure returns. Total mass is 8.9 kg when fitted with two solenoids and the spring-centered spool, permitting single-person installation.
