The 4WH22Q7X/ directional spool valve is built by Bosch Rexroth for the WEH Directional Spool Valves series and directs pressure flow in hydraulic automation systems. It relies on hydraulic actuation, and its 4-way path is arranged in nominal size NG25 (W.H 22) to fit standard manifolds. The spool carries symbol Q and sits in three spring-centered positions that are returned by internal springs after each cycle. Subplate mounting allows quick swap-out without disturbing pipework. Control oil is supplied through port X and drained through port Y so pilot circuits remain separate from main flow. A standardized porting pattern of ISO 4401-08-08-0-05 maintains interchangeability across NG25 installations.
The valve passes up to 450 l/min when externally piloted in the spring-centered state. Pilot pressure can climb to 210 bar, and shifting begins once 10.5 bar is available. Each actuation displaces 7.64 cm³ of pilot oil. Working ports P, A, and B withstand 280 bar, while port T is limited to 250 bar for return flow. Hydraulic fluid must conform to ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to protect the spool-bore interface. In the neutral position, the combined A-to-tank and B-to-tank cross-section is 78 mm², limiting leakage when the valve is centered.
