The 4WH16C7X/ valve is part of the WEH Directional Spool Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is used to switch hydraulic flow paths in automated machinery. Its nominal size of 16 (NG16) matches mid-range manifold cavities to balance flow capacity and footprint. Two switching positions let connected actuators alternate between discrete flow directions. External pilot oil enters through port X to isolate control pressure from the main circuit, while the return leaves externally through port Y to keep the tank line clean. The valve carries as much as 300 l/min, supporting rapid cylinder movement, and withstands 280 bar at ports P, A, and B for high-pressure operation. Achieving the shortest switching time requires 35 l/min of pilot flow, and the spool will not shift below a pilot pressure of 14 bar in this two-position design.
Pilot pressure may be raised to 250 bar without harming the control stage, and the same 250 bar rating applies to ports T and Y so back-pressure can be tolerated. Each actuation displaces 11.45 cm³ in the control chamber, data that helps size pilot accumulators. Installation employs four M10 × 60 screws per ISO 4762, and each fastener is tightened to 58 Nm ± 10 % to secure the housing to the subplate. The porting pattern conforms to ISO 4401-07-07-0-05, allowing drop-in replacement with other NG16 valves. Total mass is 7.3 kg, enabling manual handling during maintenance.
