It is used to shift hydraulic flow paths in automation circuits that require dependable directional control. Hydraulic actuation moves the spool, allowing a 4-way flow pattern that can drive double-acting cylinders or motors. Two discrete spool positions provide extend-retract or open-close functions without intermediate states. The valve is built to the NG10 nominal size, so its ports match other size-10 components in a manifold stack. With a symbol Hd configuration, it passes up to 160 l/min, supporting medium-capacity machines. Ports P, A, and B withstand operating pressures up to 280 bar, enabling use in high-pressure systems. The internal channels follow the ISO 4401-05-05-0-05 porting pattern, which simplifies subplate selection during design. Spool return in the main valve is hydraulic, so the pilot circuit must generate the return stroke instead of relying on springs.

Drain port T tolerates 280 bar, and external drain port Y can handle 250 bar, so back-pressure in return lines does not impair operation. Subplate mounting is specified, allowing compact manifold installation; four M6 × 45 screws secure the body to the base plate and provide proper sealing compression.
