It directs pressurized oil in hydraulic automation systems for load control and actuator sequencing. A pilot flow of 45 l/min supports fast switching, and each actuation consumes 58.8 cm³ of pilot oil, data useful when sizing accumulators or pumps. Supply and return paths for the pilot oil are internal, and the return discharges through the internal T port to simplify line routing. If an external Y drain is used it may carry up to 160 bar back pressure without damaging the housing. The valve seats against the manifold with four M20 × 80 screws conforming to ISO 4762, creating a rigid joint that resists vibration during continuous duty.
