The 4WEH32E6X/6EW110N9TS2K4/P4.5 valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the WEH Directional Spool Valves series. It directs pressure media in hydraulic automation circuits where quick shifting and high volume supply are needed. The component is built to nominal size 32 (NG32) so it fits manifolds sized for high flow stages, and its 4-way layout provides separate paths for pressure, tank, and two work ports. When system pressure reaches 280 bar at ports P, A, or B the housing and spool remain within rated limits, and the internal channels can pass up to 750 l/min at that pressure to support large actuators. Pilot oil is supplied externally through port X so the main flow is not disturbed during actuation, while return oil is routed internally to port T to simplify piping. Reliable shifting begins once pilot pressure rises above 8.5 bar and remains stable up to 250 bar, giving a wide control range. After energization the spool is forced back by springs, allowing automatic centering once the pilot signal is removed.

Electrical control is provided through a DIN EN 175301-803 form K4 connector, giving a sealed plug-in link for the solenoid coil. A concealed manual override coded N9 lets technicians shift the spool during setup without exposing moving parts. The sub-plate interface follows porting pattern ISO 4401-10-09-0-05 so the valve seats onto standard NG32 manifolds, and mounting screws must be tightened to 340 Nm to maintain gasket compression. Acceptable fluid purity is ISO 4406 20/18/15, limiting particle contamination that could accelerate wear. Switching time can be modified with a discharge control element marked S2, allowing damping of pilot exhaust for smoother shifts. A preload element opens at 4.5 bar to establish initial flow before the main stage moves, protecting the actuator from abrupt pressure rise.
