It directs pressurized oil between service lines in hydraulic automation circuits. The valve is built in NG25 size and fits a subplate using the ISO 4401 porting pattern, simplifying manifold layouts. Pilot oil is supplied internally through port ET and returned internally to port T, so no external pilot lines are required. A minimum pilot pressure of 10.5 bar is needed to shift the three-position spool, while the pilot stage tolerates up to 210 bar. The pilot chamber holds 7.64 cm³ of oil, and a 1.0 mm throttle insert identified as B10 meters the pilot feed to moderate actuation speed. The main stage works at system pressures up to 280 bar on ports P, A, and B, allowing the component to handle medium-to-high-pressure circuits. Tank port T withstands 250 bar, protecting return lines during back-pressure events. At 70 bar with the symbol J spool, the performance limit reaches 450 l/min, providing ample flow for large actuators. Continuous operation is permitted in ambient temperatures to 50 °C, and hydraulic fluid temperature may rise to 80 °C without derating. To maintain internal clearances, the fluid must meet ISO 4406 cleanliness class 20/18/15, which limits particulate contamination. Together these limits define the operating envelope for reliable switching under demanding industrial service.
