The pilot stage tolerates pressures up to 210 bar so it can be fed from the main pump without a reducer. A pilot volume of 7.64 cm³ must be filled to move the spool between positions, a factor to consider when selecting control valves and timing. System cleanliness needs to stay at ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 or better to prevent wear in the precision-ground lands. The combination of high flow capacity, generous pressure ratings, and compact pilot cavity lets the valve shift rapidly in demanding presses, die-casting machines, and mobile attachments without excessive energy loss. Once the energizing signal is removed, the spring package returns the spool to neutral, ensuring repeatable circuit shutdown under the stated limits.
