The 4WEH22C7X/6EG24N9K4 directional spool valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the WEH Directional Spool Valves series. It shifts hydraulic flow between supply and actuator ports in automated machinery where rapid, high-volume control is required. The valve follows the ISO 4401-08-08-0-05 porting pattern so it mates with standard subplates without adapter blocks. Its NG25 size defines a passage area able to pass up to 450 l/min under symbol C operation, supporting large cylinders and motors. Working lines p, A, and B tolerate 280 bar, giving the unit compatibility with common high-pressure circuits, while the tank port T can accept 250 bar to prevent return line restrictions. The external drain port Y is limited to 210 bar to protect pilot components, and the pilot stage itself can be supplied with pressures up to the same 210 bar for consistent actuation. A spring-centered two-spool arrangement needs at least 11 bar pilot pressure so the spool shifts fully under load.
The solenoid coil operates on 24 V DC, enabling direct connection to typical mobile and industrial control systems. Electrical termination is through a DIN EN 175301-803 K4 connector which simplifies field wiring and sealing. A concealed manual override designated N9 lets maintenance staff move the spool when the solenoid is de-energized, without exposing internals to contamination. Hydraulic media with viscosities between 2.8 and 500 mm²/s can be used, giving the designer flexibility in fluid selection. Temperature limits of −20 °C to +80 °C for NBR seals ensure the valve remains leak-free during cold starts and elevated oil temperatures.
