It performs a 4-way function with a J spool that offers three controlled positions to route pressure and return lines as required. Electro-hydraulic actuation lets an electrical signal energize the pilot stage so the main spool moves without high manual effort. The valve is supplied in nominal size 16 (NG16) to fit medium-frame manifolds and line sizes. A spring-centered design brings the spool back to neutral when the pilot signal is removed, and a minimum pilot pressure of 14 bar is necessary to shift it from center. The unit belongs to component series 7X, and its 6E high-power pilot valve delivers adequate pilot flow while drawing oil from the external x and y connections.
A concealed N9 manual override permits the operator to shift the spool locally during setup or if electrical power is unavailable. The pilot circuit tolerates pressures up to 250 bar, while the pressure ports p, A, and B accept working pressures as high as 280 bar for demanding actuator loads. Return and drain ports t and Y, when connected externally, may be pressurized to 250 bar without affecting operation. Under symbol J conditions the valve can pass a maximum flow of 300 l/min, supporting high-speed cylinder or motor cycles. The ISO 4401-07-07-0-05 porting pattern enables direct mounting on standardized subplates, reducing plumbing complexity. FKM seals are fitted to withstand elevated fluid temperatures and aggressive hydraulic media, ensuring long service life.
