The 4WEH16J7X/6EG24N9K4/B10 directional valve is part of the WEH Directional Spool Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is used to route hydraulic flow in automated machinery. Electro-hydraulic actuation lets a small pilot signal move the main spool so full line pressure is switched with low control effort. Its nominal size of NG16 defines the porting dimensions, while a four-way body provides separate P, T, A, and B passages for bidirectional cylinder or motor circuits. The J three-position spool returns to center under spring force, and this neutral condition is achieved as long as the pilot supply is at or above the 14 bar minimum pilot pressure. When shifted, the valve can pass up to 300 l/min, allowing high-flow systems to operate without excessive pressure drop. A Ø 1.0 mm throttle insert is fitted in the pilot gallery to damp pressure spikes, and the wet-armature solenoid accepts a 24 V DC coil so the pilot stage can be energized from common control voltages.


The A and B work ports tolerate operating pressures to 280 bar, giving the unit enough margin for modern high-pressure hydraulic networks. Port T is rated for 250 bar to handle back-pressure from return line accumulators, and port Y can be subjected to 210 bar when external drainage is required. Maximum pilot pressure is limited to 250 bar to protect the sleeve and seals. NBR sealing elements resist mineral oil and maintain tightness over a wide temperature span. A DIN EN 175301-803 K4 plug supplies the electrical connection so the solenoid can be wired quickly with standard industrial connectors. A concealed manual override identified by code N9 lets maintenance staff stroke the pilot spool mechanically during commissioning or power loss. To preserve internal clearances, incoming oil must meet ISO 4406 cleanliness class 20/18/15, reducing the risk of sticking or wear.
