Pilot staging is carried out by a type 6E solenoid valve that meters control oil to the end faces of the main spool for precise movement. The pilot gallery accepts pressures up to 250 bar, yet the spool only needs a minimum of 14 bar to reach its hydraulic end position, which saves energy in low-pressure circuits. When the unit is secured to the manifold, each fixing screw must be tightened to 58 Nm so the sealing rings are compressed uniformly and external leakage is avoided.
