The 4WEH16HD7X/OF6EG24N9EK4/B10 valve is built by Bosch Rexroth within the WEH Directional Spool Valves series. Designed to route flow between pressure and actuator lines in hydraulic automation, it uses electro-hydraulic actuation so an electrical signal moves a pilot stage that shifts the main spool. Its nominal size of 16 fits NG16 subplates, and the spool offers 2 positions to establish or block flow as defined by spool symbol D. A hydraulic return circuit resets the spool when pilot pressure is released, while an internal pilot oil supply taken from port P removes the need for an external feed line. The pilot oil is returned externally through port Y to keep pilot chambers free of back pressure. Each switch cycle displaces 11.45 cm³ of pilot oil, and a 1.0 mm throttle insert orifice moderates this flow to control shift speed.
The pilot solenoid is energized with a rated voltage of 24 V DC, and the DIN EN 175301-803 K4 electrical connector provides standardized wiring for that coil. A concealed N9 manual override permits local actuation during commissioning or in the event of power loss. Reliable shifting begins at a minimum pilot pressure of 14 bar and is permitted up to 250 bar on the pilot stage, while working ports P, A, and B withstand up to 350 bar. The external return port Y is limited to 210 bar, protecting the drain line from excess load. These pressure limits set the operating envelope for cylinders and motors connected to the valve and ensure safe service in high-pressure hydraulic systems.
