It directs and switches hydraulic flow in industrial automation systems where electronic control over pilot oil is required. This model is built in size 16 and mounts on a subplate that follows the ISO 4401-07-07-0-05 porting pattern for straightforward integration with manifold blocks. Electrical actuation is made through a DIN EN 175301-803 K4 connector, while a concealed manual override identified by the N9 code provides local positioning during service. Pilot oil is supplied externally via port X and returned through port Y so internal passages remain free for main flow. The main ports P, A, and B can withstand up to 350 bar, and the tank port T is limited to 250 bar, enabling reliable operation in high-pressure circuits.


The valve operates in ambient temperatures from −20 °C to +50 °C and accepts hydraulic fluid temperatures between −20 °C and +80 °C, allowing year-round service in standard plant environments. It handles viscosities from 2.8 to 500 mm2/s, so both low and high viscosity media can be used without loss of switching accuracy. Approved fluids include mineral-based HL, HLP, and HVLP oils as well as biodegradable HETG, HEES, and HEPG types; fire-resistant HFDU, HFDR, and HFC fluids are also compatible. The pilot stage tolerates pressures up to 250 bar, while a minimum of 14 bar is required on two-spool hydraulic ends to achieve reliable shifting. Cleanliness must meet ISO 4406 code 20/18/15 to prevent spool sticking and wear. These parameters ensure consistent performance within the specified limits of the WEH valve design.
