The 4WEH16D7X/6EW110N9DK23L directional valve is built by Bosch Rexroth as part of the WEH Directional Spool Valves series and is applied for automated control of hydraulic circuits. It is shifted by electro-hydraulic actuation, which uses pilot oil to move the main spool with electrical commands. The unit is supplied in nominal size NG16 so it fits manifolds designed for medium flow rates. Its 4-way path layout pairs with two switching positions to route pressure and return lines to the required actuator ports. The internal spool is designated with the symbol D, indicating the flow pattern provided in each position. Installation is on a subplate, and the interface follows porting pattern ISO 4401-07-07-0-05 for interchangeability with standard bases. Mounting screws in size M10 must be tightened to 58 Nm to secure the body. A surface protection layer up to 100 µm guards the housing against corrosion in industrial environments.


Hydraulic performance supports a maximum flow of 300 l/min when the NG16 body is equipped with the two-position spool, allowing high actuator speeds. Working ports P, A, and B tolerate operating pressures up to 280 bar, while the pilot stage can accept pressures to 250 bar for rapid shifting. The external T port is rated for 250 bar, and the external Y pilot return line is limited to 160 bar, so circuit design must respect these limits. Reliable actuation is maintained when the pilot supply reaches at least 14 bar on spring-loaded versions. System cleanliness must achieve ISO 4406 code 20/18/15 or better to prevent spool sticking and premature wear.
