The 4WEH16D7X/6EG12N9DA directional spool valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth within the WEH Directional Spool Valves series. The valve shifts hydraulic flow paths in automated circuits where rapid, repeatable actuation is required. It is built in nominal size 16 with a 4-way port configuration so it can control lines P, A, B, and T in medium-capacity systems. Two spool positions are available, and the internal land geometry follows symbol D for standard closed-center switching. Installation is on an ISO 4401-07-07-0-05 subplate, and a concealed N9 manual override allows maintenance staff to move the spool during commissioning without exposing moving parts. Sealing elements are made from NBR to suit mineral oils formulated under DIN 51524. To protect internal clearances, the valve must receive oil with an ISO 4406 cleanliness level of 20/18/15. For flow capacity, the NG16 D-spool channels pass up to 300 l/min while keeping pressure drop within normal limits. Working ports A and B tolerate operating pressures to 280 bar, giving margin for high-pressure machines. The pilot stage accepts a maximum of 250 bar and begins reliable shifting when external pilot supply X delivers at least 14 bar. Return flow from the pilot drains through external port Y, which prevents back-pressure in the cover and stabilizes response time. Because supply and return are both external, the main valve can be mounted in closed manifolds without internal pilot galleries. The dual-position construction keeps actuation simple and reduces dwell time between cycles. By pairing its high flow rating with robust pressure limits, the valve supports precise and durable motion control in presses, injection molding equipment, and other automated hydraulics.
