The Z4WE6E68-21/AG24NZ45 directional spool valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the WE Directional Spool Valves series. It directs pressurized fluid to actuators in hydraulic automation circuits. The valve follows the ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 porting pattern so it bolts to a standard NG6 subplate without adapter plates. It tolerates operating pressures up to 350 bar in ports P, A, and B, allowing use in high-pressure systems. Rapid cycling is supported by a maximum switching frequency of 4.2 operations per second, useful in fast servo loops. The winding can reach a coil surface temperature of up to 120 °C without damage, aided by insulation class F materials. Manual override operation is permitted while tank port pressure stays below 50 bar, giving maintenance staff a safe means to shift the spool. The return line withstands a tank port pressure of 210 bar, which protects seals during counterpressure events. Hydraulic cleanliness must meet class 20/18/15 per ISO 4406 to prevent spool jamming. The solenoid’s construction has a mean time to dangerous failure of 300 years, contributing to high system reliability.
