The 4WE6Y2-6X/EG24N9K4/V directional spool valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the WE Directional Spool Valves series and directs pressurized fluid to actuators in hydraulic automation circuits. The valve fits size 6 cavities, giving it compact flow paths suited for machinery with limited manifold space. Its ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 mounting interface positions the ports accurately on standardized subplates for quick replacement. A maximum operating pressure of 350 bar lets the spool control high-pressure supply lines without deformation, and a maximum flow of 80 l/min supports moderate actuator speeds. Electrically, the coil is energized with 24 V DC, drawing a rated current of 1.25 A, so common control cabinets can drive the solenoid directly. The coil consumes 30 W at nominal voltage, balancing response speed with heat generation, and continuous service is possible because the solenoid is rated for a 100% ED duty cycle.

The valve uses a K4 electrical connector compliant with DIN EN 175301-803, allowing tool-free attachment of molded plugs during wiring. Once connected, the enclosure achieves IP65 ingress protection, preventing dust and water jets from affecting the coil on outdoor equipment. A concealed N9 manual override lets maintenance staff shift the spool when power is lost while keeping the override shielded from accidental actuation; the override can be operated safely as long as tank pressure stays below 50 bar. On the outlet side, the design tolerates 210 bar in the tank port, so back-pressure in return lines will not force fluid past the seals. A switching frequency of 4.2 cycles per second limits wear while still permitting rapid directional changes in servo loops. Surface temperature may reach 120 °C during duty, so nearby components must be rated accordingly, and all dynamic seals are made of FKM to resist common hydraulic oils and maintain flexibility within the stated temperature range.
