The 4WE6M6X/EW110N9DAL directional spool valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the WE Directional Spool Valves series. Installed in hydraulic automation circuits it directs fluid between actuator and pump lines. Its solenoid operates at a nominal 110 V AC, 50/60 Hz, so it connects directly to standard plant power. A voltage tolerance of ±10 % allows reliable shifting when supply levels fluctuate. During energization the coil draws 220 VA of switch-on power to overcome initial static forces, after which holding power drops to 50 VA to limit heat and energy use. The winding is built to insulation class H, allowing high temperature operation without premature degradation. Electrical leads pass through a 1/2-14 NPT cable gland, providing a threaded seal and strain relief for field wiring. An IP65 ingress rating protects the internal parts from dust and low-pressure water jets during routine wash-downs. The valve conforms to the ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 porting pattern, enabling direct mounting on standard size 03 subplates without extra adapters. Ports P, A, and B withstand operating pressures up to 350 bar, while the tank port is limited to 160 bar, so return line components must be rated accordingly. A maximum flow of 60 l/min can pass through the spool lands, matching medium-capacity actuator circuits. The mechanism may be switched up to two times per second, supporting moderately high cycling duties in automated machinery. For commissioning or emergency movement a concealed manual override is provided, and it may be used only when tank pressure does not exceed 50 bar to avoid internal damage. The hydraulic fluid must meet cleanliness class ISO 4406 20/18/15 to prevent spool sticking and excessive wear. Together these characteristics define service limits and mounting details that installers must observe when integrating the valve into closed-loop hydraulic systems.
