The housing carries an IP65 protection class, so dust ingress and water jets do not affect operation. When the coil is de-energized, internal suppression limits switch-off overvoltage to 500 V, protecting upstream controls. The T port tolerates up to 160 bar, allowing back-pressure layouts in closed-loop circuits. Hydraulic cleanliness must meet ISO 4406 20/18/15 to keep the spool land clearances free of abrasive particles, ensuring reliable directional control.
