The 4WE6J6X/EG96NK4/V directional spool valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the WE Directional Spool Valves series. It is installed to shift hydraulic flow between work lines in automated machines. A high-power wet-pin solenoid provides actuation, moving the spool when a 96 V DC supply energizes the coil. The magnetic circuit draws 0.33 A, delivering force suited to the valve size. Wiring is completed through a DIN EN 175301-803 form K4 connector, which also maintains sealing against contaminants. Surge control is addressed by permitting a maximum switch-off overvoltage of 500 V, while a 192 V suppressor is recommended to keep transients below that limit. An IP65 enclosure rating protects the coil housing from dust and water jets during routine wash-down. The subplate interface follows the ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 (D03) porting pattern and provides four ports for pressure, tank, and dual actuator lines. All dynamic seals use FKM (Viton) elastomer to resist aggressive hydraulic oils and elevated temperatures.

Hydraulic performance figures define application limits. The pressure line and service ports A and B may be loaded to 350 bar, whereas the tank port t is restricted to 210 bar. Continuous flow up to 80 l/min can pass through the metering lands without exceeding the rated pressure drop, provided the working fluid meets ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 cleanliness to prevent spool sticking. This version does not include a manual override, so no local actuation is possible during power loss; if an override were fitted, the allowable tank pressure for that feature would be 50 bar. The absence of a manual knob eliminates an external leakage path and shortens installation depth. Together with the electrical data listed earlier, these hydraulic limits allow the valve to control cylinders or motors in compact manifolds while maintaining reliable shifting under high pressure and moderate flow conditions.
