The 4WE6J6X/EG96NK4 directional spool valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the WE Directional Spool Valves series to control hydraulic flow in automated machinery. The porting pattern follows ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 so the valve mates with standard sub-plates in compact manifolds. A maximum operating pressure of 350 bar on ports A, B, and P permits use in high-pressure lines. The tank line accepts up to 160 bar with alternating-current actuation and 210 bar with direct-current actuation, allowing flexible reservoir sizing across power supplies. Flow capacity reaches 60 l/min when an AC coil is used and 80 l/min with a DC coil, enabling medium-volume cylinders to move without excessive pressure loss. A clamping length of 42 mm defines the space needed between mounting faces, and installation is allowed in any position which eases manifold layout. Fluid cleanliness must meet ISO 4406 code 20/18/15 to keep the spool moving freely.
Environmental and electrical limits support dependable switching. An IP65 ingress protection rating shields the coil and connector from dust and low-pressure wash-down. The electrical interface uses a DIN EN 175301-803 K4 plug to allow quick disconnection during maintenance. Coil power is supplied at a nominal 96 V DC and draws 0.33 A so control cabinets can use low-current drivers. During de-energization the coil generates up to 500 V of switch-off overvoltage, therefore a suppressor rated at 192 V is recommended to protect contacts. Manual override is permitted while the tank port pressure remains below 50 bar, enabling safe emergency shifting without damaging internal parts.
