The 4WE6J6X/EG96N2K4 directional spool valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the WE Directional Spool Valves series. It directs hydraulic flow in automated machinery and can be mounted on manifolds that follow the ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 porting pattern. A maximum operating pressure of 350 bar lets the valve control high-pressure lines without external pressure intensifiers. Under direct-current actuation it carries a maximum flow of 80 l/min, supporting medium-size cylinders and motors. Electrical connection is made through a K4 plug to DIN EN 175301-803, enabling quick removal of the solenoid coil for service. The valve includes a small mushroom-style manual override for setup or emergency shifting, and this override may be used while tank pressure remains below 50 bar. System oil must meet cleanliness class ISO 4406 20/18/15 to limit spool wear and maintain reliable switching. During prolonged energization the coil surface can reach 120 °C, so adjacent components must tolerate that temperature. The T port is rated for 210 bar under direct-current operation, preventing case drain back pressure from disrupting spool centering. At the specified voltage the coil draws a rated current of 0.33 A, matching the thermal design limits of the coil.
