The 4WE6J6X/EG24N9K4/VSO407 directional spool valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the WE Directional Spool Valves series. It directs flow between actuator ports in hydraulic automation circuits. Size 6 ports let the valve fit compact manifolds while still passing up to 60 l/min of hydraulic oil. The interface follows porting pattern ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 so installation on standardized subplates requires no adapter. Pressure in the P, A, and B work lines can reach 315 bar, allowing the valve to control cylinders in high-pressure systems, whereas the T return port is limited to 210 bar to protect tank lines. The coil operates at a nominal 24 V DC, and a ±10 % voltage tolerance permits operation on supplies that vary slightly. Continuous energization is permitted because the solenoid is rated for a 100 % ED duty cycle.
In service, the solenoid draws 8 W, a low power demand that minimizes panel heat load. The valve can shift twice per second, so control loops that require up to 2 Hz switching stay within the mechanical limits. Electrical termination is made through a DIN EN 175301-803 K4 connector, simplifying coil replacement in the field. An IP65 enclosure protects the energized parts against dust and water jets when the connector is properly fitted. The coil surface must not exceed 85 °C, ensuring that insulation remains within its thermal class during continuous use. FKM seals resist common hydraulic fluids and elevated temperatures, maintaining leak-free operation. System oil must meet cleanliness class ISO 4406 20/18/15, as contamination above this level would accelerate wear of the spool and body.
