The 4WE6H6X/EG24N9DK25L/62 directional spool valve is built by Bosch Rexroth for the WE Directional Spool Valves series to switch flow paths in hydraulic automation circuits. It employs a 24 VDC solenoid coil that draws 1.25 A, so machine power supplies can energize the spool without a separate converter. An IP65 enclosure shields the coil against dust and water jets, and connection is made through a 5-pole Mini-Change plug to streamline wiring inside manifolds. The valve mounts to subplates that follow the ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 and NFPA D03 pattern, allowing direct replacement for other D03 units. Operating ports A, B, and P withstand pressures up to 350 bar, while the tank port tolerates 210 bar during duty cycles. For hydraulic media, the valve accepts oils from 2.8 to 500 mm²/s viscosity to cover thin fluids used in mobile machinery and thicker lubricants found in industrial presses. It stays within thermal limits as long as the fluid temperature remains between ‑20 °C and +80 °C, preventing seal hardening or varnish formation. Cleanliness must not exceed ISO 4406 20/18/15 so the precision contact between spool and bore is preserved. A locating hole fitted with a locking pin ISO 8752-3×8-St holds the body exactly on the manifold and stops twisting during pressure surges. Service personnel can shift the spool with a concealed manual override, but the feature is rated for tank pressures only up to 50 bar to avoid blowing out the override seals.
