The 4WE6D6X/EG24K4QMAG24 directional spool valve is part of the WE Directional Spool Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is intended for hydraulic automation where compact control of flow paths is required. The valve is built to the nominal size 6 format so it fits ISO size 06 manifolds and limits internal volume for fast response. A 24 V DC coil drives the spool, letting it integrate with standard machine control voltage, and the coil accepts a ±10 % voltage excursion to remain functional during supply fluctuations. Coil power is 30 W, which defines the electrical load that must be provided by the cabinet supply. Continuous operation is possible because the solenoid is rated for a 100 % duty cycle, avoiding thermal shutdowns during long holding periods. Electrical connection is made through a DIN EN 175301-803 K4 plug, providing quick field replacement and consistent pin assignment. The valve mounts on an ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 subplate, ensuring interchangeability with common CETOP 03 patterns, and it can be installed in any position so designers have flexibility when routing pipework.

The hydraulic performance is capped at 350 bar on ports P, A, and B, enabling the unit to handle high-pressure circuits found in industrial presses or machine tools, while tank port T withstands 210 bar to prevent casing damage during back-pressure events. A maximum flow of 80 l/min sets the throughput this spool can pass without excessive pressure loss. The spool can shift up to 4.2 times per second in DC service, allowing moderate cycling rates in automatic sequences. When the coil is de-energized the circuit must tolerate up to 500 V of switch-off overvoltage, so proper suppression devices are recommended. An IP65 enclosure guards the solenoid against dust and water jets, supporting exposed machine locations. Hydraulic cleanliness should be ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 or better to preserve spool and seat accuracy. The integrated QM position switch monitors the A position to give feedback to the PLC that the valve has shifted, enhancing safety interlocks.
