The S20P30-1X/ valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the Type S Check Valves series. It serves as a unidirectional blocking element in hydraulic circuits, preventing backflow while allowing forward flow once the internal poppet lifts. The unit conforms to size NG20, giving it flow capacity suitable for medium-diameter pressure lines. A body diameter of 42 mm fits standard manifold cavities, and a 36 mm hex head allows torque to be applied with common service wrenches during installation. The poppet lifts at a cracking pressure of 3.0 bar, after which the passage can withstand a continuous operating pressure of 450 bar. Overall mass is limited to 1.0 kg, minimizing added load on manifold blocks.

System fluid must remain at or cleaner than ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 (c) to protect the sealing edges of the S20P30-1X/ poppet. The valve functions over a temperature window from −30 °C to 80 °C, allowing use in mobile and industrial power units exposed to seasonal changes. It accommodates viscosities between 2.8 mm²/s and 500 mm²/s so both low-viscosity mineral oils and heavier fluids can be employed without sticking. Mean time to dangerous failure is calculated at 150 years, providing a wide safety margin for long-term installations.
