The SF63A0-1-1X//12 prefill valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for the SF Prefill Valves series and is intended to accelerate cylinder movement during low-pressure phases in hydraulic automation. The assembly attaches with four mounting holes and follows the ISO 6162-1 flange pattern, while each hole is tapped M24 to match standard manifold bolts. Because the installation position can be any orientation, designers can place the valve close to the cylinder without extra brackets. A main poppet stroke of 14.5 mm and a control spool stroke of 11 mm create a large opening path so fluid can enter the actuator quickly. To keep sealing faces clean, the hydraulic medium must meet ISO 4406 class 20/18/15. The main poppet presents an effective area of 32.67 cm², giving predictable force equilibrium when pressure builds on the inlet side.
The control spool carries an effective area of 7.07 cm², so only moderate pilot force is needed to shift it. During an opening command the pilot circuit must supply 7.80 cm³ of oil, a volume that informs valve timing calculations. A nozzle with a 0.8 mm diameter is recommended in that circuit to temper flow and avoid pressure oscillations. When fully open the valve can pass up to 800 L/min from port A to b, yet it must not exceed 16 bar at port A during the prefill stage. Ports B and p tolerate 350 bar for the high-pressure working stroke, and port X withstands 150 bar during pilot venting. An unchecking ratio of 4.6 ensures the poppet stays seated until pilot pressure overcomes a defined fraction of load pressure, preventing unintended backflow in the return phase.
