The PVV2-1X/040RD pump belongs to the PV Fixed Displacement Pumps series and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for hydraulic automation where a constant flow is required. Its fixed displacement of 40.1 cm³ per revolution sets the volume delivered each shaft turn, establishing predictable actuator speed. When driven at 1500 rpm with an inlet pressure of 0.7 bar and oil viscosity of 25 mm²/s, the unit can supply up to 59 l/min, supporting medium-duty circuits. A continuous outlet pressure limit of 175 bar defines the maximum system working pressure that can be maintained without fatigue. The drive must turn the shaft clockwise because the designated direction of rotation is R, preventing reverse-flow damage. Maximum permissible speed reaches 1800 min⁻¹ at 1 bar absolute inlet pressure so the pump can follow fast cycle commands, while a minimum speed of 600 min⁻¹ is required to keep internal lubrication effective. Installation is simplified by an SAE J744 flange mount, and the pressure port is sized to SAE 1″ for straightforward connection to downstream lines.

Thermal ratings allow continuous operation up to +70 °C, and cold starts down to –10 °C, defining the fluid temperature window for safe use without viscosity extremes. Acceptable viscosity spans from 13 mm²/s to 860 mm²/s, covering the thinning of oil at high temperature and its thickening at low temperature. These remaining limits combine to keep the pump stable in automated hydraulic power units that experience wide ambient and duty variations.
