Clockwise rotation is mandatory; reversing the drive would upset tooth loading and cause cavitation. The pump may not drop below 600 rpm because lower speeds reduce hydrodynamic film thickness and raise internal leakage. Fluid cleanliness must stay within ISO 4406 (c) 20/18/15, preventing abrasive particles from scoring the gear faces. A SAE 2-hole U2 mounting flange aligns the housing to common motor adapters for straightforward installation.

The shaft end is a spline with through-drive capability, enabling another pump to be mounted in series without an extra coupling, and its geometry follows SAE J498b 9T 16/32 DP at a 30° pressure angle for consistent torque transfer. The main shaft can accept up to 140 Nm of drive torque, giving headroom for cold-start viscosity spikes, while the rear through-drive path is limited to 70 Nm so downstream units do not overload the spline. Inlet conditions range from 0.6 bar absolute to 3 bar absolute; staying within this window prevents vapor formation at low pressure and avoids seal damage at high pressure. FKM seals are fitted, permitting use with conventional mineral oils at elevated temperatures and offering resistance to many synthetic fluids. These characteristics allow the pump to integrate into compact power packs where space, stackable torque capacity, and controlled suction parameters are critical.
