The M-3SEW6C3X/420MG24K4 poppet valve is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth within the M-SEW Poppet Valves series. It controls on-off flow in hydraulic automation circuits that need leak-tight shutoff at high pressure. The valve accepts fluids prepared to ISO 4406 cleanliness class 20/18/15 so internal wear remains low. It withstands operating pressures up to 420 bar, allowing use on high-pressure supply lines, while delivering up to 25 l/min to downstream actuators. The subplate mounting follows the ISO 4401-03-02-0-05 pattern, enabling interchange with other CETOP 03 components, and the mounting screws should be tightened to 7 Nm to maintain sealing without bolt stretch. Continuous duty operation is supported by a 100 percent duty cycle which prevents enforced cooling pauses. An IP65 enclosure keeps dust and water jets out of the coil housing, and total mass is held to 1.5 kg for easy handling during manifold assembly.
The valve’s DC solenoid is designed for a nominal 24 V supply; a ±10 percent voltage window keeps actuation force within acceptable limits. The coil draws 30 W, so power budgeting for cabinet wiring is straightforward, and connections are made through a DIN EN 175301-803 type K4 plug that simplifies field replacement. Surface temperature may reach 120 °C at maximum load, so adjacent cable insulation must be rated accordingly. The poppet can switch up to 3600 cycles per hour when system pressure exceeds 350 bar, supporting rapid machine duty. Back pressure at port T can be held as high as 100 bar without impairing return flow, and the build coded as version 420 includes a blind counterbore on port B to match corresponding subplates. These electrical and hydraulic limits combine to give reliable service under repeated switching in compact power packs.
