The FD16FB2X/400B03V check valve belongs to the FD Check Valves series from Bosch Rexroth and is used to manage directional flow in hydraulic automation circuits. It opens from A to B when the system reaches a cracking pressure of 2 bar and can be forced open from B to A when 20 bar pilot pressure is applied, allowing controlled pressure release on return lines. A control-to-load area ratio of 1 : 20 reduces the pilot force needed for this reverse flow. The pilot port tolerates up to 350 bar, matching high-pressure control manifolds, and a 0.3 mm damping orifice limits pressure surges during actuation. Nominal size NG16 defines the passage dimensions, while the body passes up to 200 l/min for medium-flow cylinders. An internal secondary relief valve is adjustable to 400 bar to protect downstream components during overload conditions.
Installation uses SAE flange connections so the valve mounts flush on a manifold, and G1/4 ports are provided for the pilot and diagnostic lines. Continuous service limits are 350 bar at port A and 420 bar at port B, allowing placement on the pressure side of heavy-duty hydraulic pumps. Operation requires fluid cleanliness of 20/18/15 per ISO 4406 to prevent seat wear, and the valve is intended for HL or HLP mineral oils specified in DIN 51524. FKM sealing elements withstand the elevated temperatures and additive packages common in these oils. The assembled unit weighs 9 kg, providing sufficient mass for vibration damping while remaining manageable for single-person installation.
