The FD16FA2X/B06V check valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the FD Check Valves series for directional flow control in hydraulic automation circuits. It is built to nominal size 16 and mounts through an SAE flange connection so it can integrate into common manifold or line assemblies. The body incorporates a control and measuring port threaded to G 1/4 per ISO 228/1, allowing pressure probes or pilot lines to be attached. Flow on the pilot path is metered by a 0.6 mm orifice that moderates signal transmission to the main poppet. A pilot ratio of 1:20 permits a small pilot pressure at port x to unlock the valve against higher load pressure on port b. The valve tolerates control pressures up to 350 bar and sustains the same 350 bar on ports a and x during service, while port b is rated for 420 bar to withstand return surges in load-holding applications.
In operation, the valve admits flow from port a to port b once the cracking pressure of 2 bar is exceeded and blocks reverse flow until a 20 bar opening pressure is applied from port b to port a, ensuring reliable load holding. The design passes up to 200 l/min without excessive pressure drop, making it suitable for medium-capacity power units. Mineral oil grades HL and HLP defined by DIN 51524 are the approved hydraulic media, and the cleanliness level must be maintained at ISO 4406 code 20/18/15 to protect the poppet seal surfaces. Fluoroelastomer (FKM) sealing withstands high-temperature oil and prevents external leakage, while the absence of a secondary relief valve simplifies the hydraulic circuit where separate over-pressure devices are already installed. The assembly weighs 7 kg, a consideration for manifold mounting and service handling.
