The FD12FB2X/400B03V valve is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the FD Check Valves series and is applied to lock or free flow in automated hydraulic manifolds. It is built around nominal size 12, giving passage dimensions suited to mid-range cylinders and motors. A connection through an SAE flange with a secondary pilot relief valve combines secure mounting with integrated over-pressure control. The control port uses a G 1/4 thread according to ISO 228/1 so common pilot hoses can be fitted without adapters. This port tolerates 350 bar, and with a control-to-load pressure ratio of 1:20 only a small pilot signal is needed to shift the poppet. A 0.3 mm orifice meters the pilot oil to damp switching shocks. Forward flow opens when pressure from A to B reaches the 2 bar cracking level, minimizing energy loss, whereas reverse flow from B to A requires a pre-opening pressure of 20 bar to prevent unintended backflow.
Port A/x carries working pressure up to 350 bar while port B is rated for 420 bar (6000 psi), letting the valve manage differential loads in high-pressure circuits. A secondary relief stage is preset to 400 bar so any excess pressure is safely vented. The housing supports a maximum flow of 80 l/min through ports A and B, matching the demands of medium-flow actuator loops. Fluid cleanliness must reach ISO 4406 class 20/18/15 to avoid seat damage, and the design accepts HL or HLP mineral oils specified in DIN 51524 for reliable lubrication. All dynamic seals are formed from FKM to withstand elevated temperature and aggressive additives. The assembly weighs 9 kg, which allows direct manifold installation without external support hardware while still keeping the valve compact for densely packaged power units.
