The AZPF-12-016-RDC12MA gear pump belongs to the AZPF External High Performance Gear Pumps series from Bosch Rexroth and supplies fixed-displacement flow for hydraulic automation circuits. It moves 16 cm³ per revolution and is configured for clockwise rotation, matching right-handed prime movers. Continuous operation is supported at 250 bar, withstanding intermittent surges to 280 bar and short pressure peaks to 300 bar for overload events. A maximum speed of 3000 rpm is allowed at rated pressure, while a minimum of 500 rpm is required when pressure is below 100 bar to maintain film strength. Acceptable viscosity spans from 12 mm²/s during hot running to 800 mm²/s in normal cold starts, with an upper allowance of 2000 mm²/s at initial start-up to accommodate thick oils. These temperature and viscosity envelopes define the usable fluid range and help engineers size heat exchangers, choose oil grades, and plan warm-up cycles that preserve pump efficiency and service life.
