The AA2FM28/61W-VSD520 is produced by Bosch Rexroth within the A2FM Fixed Motors series. It is intended for hydraulic automation where a constant displacement element must deliver mechanical rotation from high-pressure fluid. The motor’s geometric displacement is 28.1 cm³ per revolution, so each shaft turn transfers that volume into torque. It achieves a nominal speed of 6300 rpm, and at this speed the inlet flow reaches 177 l/min to satisfy circuit supply requirements. Continuous operation is supported at 400 bar nominal pressure, while short excursions can rise to 450 bar without overstressing load-bearing parts. A brief case pressure peak of 10 bar is allowed for events under 0.1 s, and the continuous case differential pressure must stay at or below 2 bar to preserve seal integrity.


The high-pressure side must not fall below 25 bar, and the sum of system pressures a + b is limited to 700 bar for safety. When pressurized to its nominal rating the shaft delivers 179 Nm of torque to the driven load. Dynamic behavior is influenced by a rotary group moment of inertia of 0.0012 kg·m² and a rotary stiffness of 2.93 kNm/rad, enabling predictable speed control. The assembly withstands rapid starts and stops with a maximum angular acceleration of 6500 rad/s². Lubrication oil inside the housing is contained within a 0.2 l case volume, which also provides space for thermal expansion and bleed flow.
