The pump operates with HLP mineral oil defined in DIN 51524-2, and the circuit must maintain an ISO 4406 cleanliness class of 20/18/15 to protect the rotating barrel and control edges. Fluid temperature may rise to 230 °F, provided viscosity stays within 7 cSt for brief excursions and does not exceed 1600 cSt during cold starts. Reliable inlet conditions are achieved when suction pressure stays above 12 psi absolute and below 145 psi, preventing cavitation while avoiding overload of the shaft seal. A 24 V DC solenoid modulates the displacement mechanism so machine logic can adjust flow on demand. When system commands change rapidly, the pump’s variable geometry and the previously noted pressure limits allow stable performance without external damping devices.
