The shaft is configured for clockwise rotation, so the pump must be driven accordingly to sustain correct suction and discharge paths. During normal duty the unit tolerates a nominal pressure of 280 bar, while a maximum pressure limit of 350 bar accommodates short load peaks without structural damage. Operation relies on HLP mineral oil conforming to DIN 51524-2, which provides the viscosity and lubricity assumed in the design clearances. Control lines are connected through a 7/16-20 UNF-2B pilot port thread, facilitating standard test adapters and remote compensators. The integrated DFR regulator maintains a differential pressure of 14 bar between the pump outlet and the control port to stabilize downstream flow.

For proper suction, the inlet side can be pressurized up to 30 bar absolute; this raises the cavitation threshold when the pump works at high speeds. Case leakage returns through two dedicated drain ports, and the internal housing sees at most 2 bar absolute to protect shaft seals. Fluid temperature may reach 110 °C, so housing and seal materials are rated for that thermal load. Viscosity limits are wide: the design accepts up to 1600 cSt at cold start to allow equipment to begin work in low-temperature environments, yet it operates continuously with viscosities no higher than 400 cSt and no lower than 10 cSt to keep hydrodynamic film strength and prevent excessive heating. Having two case drain ports lets installers orient the pump in different positions while still achieving unrestricted drainage to the reservoir.
