The AA10VO28DFR1/52R-VRC64N00 variable pump is part of the A10VSO Variable Pumps series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for hydraulic automation circuits that require pressure-compensated flow. It incorporates a DFR1 pressure-flow controller, allowing the swashplate to change displacement automatically so that both pressure and delivery are kept within set limits. A differential pressure setting of 200 psi (14 bar) maintains a stable margin across an external orifice to prevent cavitation. The displacement per revolution of 1.71 in³ (28 cm³) determines how much fluid is transferred with each shaft turn. Continuous operation is supported at a nominal pressure of 4,100 psi (280 bar), while peaks can reach 5,100 psi (350 bar) without structural damage. Fluid enters through an SAE J518 1 1/4 in inlet port sized to minimize suction losses and leaves through an SAE J518 3/4 in pressure port suited for high-pressure lines. The pump has no through drive (N00), so it cannot mechanically power an auxiliary unit.


The unit delivers 13.3 gpm (50 L/min) at 1,800 rpm, supplying medium-duty actuators at a common motor speed. When the shaft accelerates to its maximum permitted 3,600 rpm, flow rises to 22.0 gpm (84 L/min) for higher cycle rates. The highest speed allowed at full displacement is limited to 3,000 rpm so inlet conditions remain adequate and bearing loads stay within limits. Driving the pump at 1,800 rpm and 4,100 psi consumes 31 hp (24 kW), while operation at top speed under the same pressure requires 52 hp (39 kW). Output torque follows pressure; it is 33 lb-ft (45 Nm) at 1,450 psi and increases to 92 lb-ft (125 Nm) at 4,100 psi, establishing shaft coupling requirements. These performance figures guide designers in selecting motor ratings, relief settings, and hose diameters so the pump meets duty cycles without exceeding thermal or mechanical limits.
