The A10VSO28DFR1/31R-PPA12N00 is a variable displacement axial piston pump manufactured by Bosch Rexroth within the A10VSO Variable Pumps series. The unit supplies hydraulic circuits with 28 cm³ per revolution, and at 1800 rpm it delivers 13.3 gpm to maintain steady actuator speed. It is built for clockwise shaft rotation so the drive side must match that orientation. Continuous duty is supported by a nominal pressure of 4100 psi, while the pump can accept momentary peaks up to 5100 psi. To avoid cavitation the inlet must stay above 12 psi absolute, and the case drain line is limited to 30 psi to protect housing seals. At full displacement the shaft may run up to 3000 rpm, giving designers flexibility when pairing with electric or diesel prime movers.
For pressure control, the DFR1 compensator is factory set to reduce flow when system pressure rises 200 psi above the pilot reference. When displacement is set below the maximum volume, allowable speed increases to 3600 rpm to boost flow without oversizing the frame. Output torque reaches 92 lb-ft at 280 bar, providing sufficient drive load for mobile and industrial machines. Hydraulic connections are sized for reliable flow: the pressure port is 3/4 inch ISO 6162-1, the suction port is 1 1/4 inch ISO 6162-1, and the pilot port uses a 7/16-20 UNF-2B thread for control lines. There is no through drive, so the rear cover remains closed, and the pump weight stays at 40 lb for straightforward mounting in compact power packs.
