The electromagnetic section contains 11 coils that generate the torque required to position the spool. Each coil draws a rated current of 30 mA, limiting thermal load during continuous modulation. A coil resistance of 85 Ω sets the steady-state power consumption, while an inductance of 0.25 H in parallel connection or 1.0 H in series affects current rise time and frequency response. A mechanical return system recenters the spool when the command signal drops to zero, providing a fail-safe neutral state. FKM seals withstand hot mineral oils and maintain leakage integrity. The spool is manufactured with a negative E overlap, giving sensitive metering around the null position for fine motion control in closed-loop hydraulic axes.
