2F Flow Control Valves

The Bosch Rexroth 2F Flow Control Valves are a series of 2-way, pressure-compensated flow control valves designed to maintain a consistent volumetric flow rate regardless of pressure fluctuations. Their primary function is to accurately regulate the speed of hydraulic actuators by controlling the flow into or out of them. The valve works by incorporating a flow metering orifice and a pressure compensator; the compensator spool adjusts its position automatically to keep the pressure drop across the orifice constant, which ensures the flow rate remains stable even as the system load changes. The series includes mechanically actuated versions, like the 2FRM, and electrically actuated proportional versions, like the 2FRE, which allow the flow rate to be continuously and remotely adjusted via an electrical signal. These valves are typically used in subplate mounting configurations and can be fitted with an optional rectifier sandwich plate to enable flow control in both directions.
